    Pits,

Bush and Company told us that they were going there to keep us safe from weapons of mass destruction. BEFORE the war they didn't say that he had them and now doesn't and they didn't say anything about liberation. The fact is that they can't find anything, not a fucking speck of these weapons. No chemical weapons, no "nucyular" weapons, no biological weapons.
Here are a few quotes that I would like to ask the Bush regime about.

"Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction." - Dick Cheney, August 26 2002

"If he declares he has none, then we will know that Saddam Hussein is once again misleading the world." - Ari Fleischer, December 2 2002

"We know for a fact that there are weapons there." - Ari Fleischer, January 9 2003

"We know that Saddam Hussein is determined to keep his weapons of mass destruction, is determined to make more." - Colin Powell, February 5 2003

"Well, there is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly . . . all this will be made clear in the course of the operation, for whatever duration it takes." - Ari Fleischer, March 21 2003

"There is no doubt that the regime of Saddam Hussein possesses weapons of mass destruction. As this operation continues, those weapons will be identified, found, along with the people who have produced them and who guard them." - Gen. Tommy Franks, March 22 2003

"We know where they are. They are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad." - Donald Rumsfeld, March 30 2003

"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons." - George W. Bush, September 12 2002

"Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent." - George W. Bush, State of the Union address, January 28 2003

"We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons." - George Bush, February 8 2003

"Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised." - George Bush, March 17 2003

No that you have read those, read this...
"We had a good discussion, the foreign minister and I and the president and I, had a good discussion about the nature of the sanctions -- the fact that the sanctions exist -- not for the purpose of hurting the Iraqi people, but for the purpose of keeping in check Saddam Hussein's ambitions toward developing weapons of mass destruction. We should constantly be reviewing our policies, constantly be looking at those sanctions to make sure that they are directed toward that purpose. That purpose is every bit as important now as it was 10 years ago when we began it. And frankly they have worked. He has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors." - Colin Powell, February 24 2001

    Those lying bastard murderers.

    While we're posting quotes, here's a few:

"I still want to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks. We can't beat George Bush unless we appeal to a broad cross-section of Democrats." -- Howard Dean, 10/31/03.

"I will be the candidate for the guys with American flags in their pickup trucks." -- Dick Gephardt's response to Howard Dean, 11/1/03.

"If I were to ever say that I wanted to be the candidate for guys with 'Swastikas,' I would be asked to leave the race." -- Al Sharpton, responding to Howard Dean, 11/1/03.

Dean and Gephardt never said anything that would lead to kids being sent to die. I am not a Dean supporter at this time probably because of these types of things he says. He should've just come out and said that he would like the old Dixie Crats to return to their roots as supporters of Roosevelt and the dem created welfare state. Got one on Kucinich??? or one that the main stream media hasn't already harped on??? Next time Howard tells numerous deadly lies post it in caps on this board. Thanks for the response, nice to hear someone gives a shit about the future of our country or at least knows the name of 3 dems running.

Here's where my mind is right now:

Kucinich because he is the most honest politician out there.

Clark because he can win and because I would just like to see the general talk to Bush about his record in the Air National Guard. I know he's a DNC candidate and is a very conservative democrat, but fuck at this point compromise is in my vocabulary.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">I completely agree that what Dean and Gephardt said is nowhere near as bad as many of the things Bush has done, both in oour country and in others. I think we can agree on that. Just meant it as a warning that the "anyone but Bush" philosophy is not always the greatest idea. Probably anyone would be better than him, but the best candidate should be found. I'm glad that you have a strong belief in Kucinich and are willing to compromise with Clark. Those are probably the two best candidates in the Dem. party. Just as long as you don't vote for Lieberman!!!

You're right on Two Drinks. It's nice to have some political banter on this boards. Especially because of all the crap going on. Just remember that the richest five percent of Americans own 60 percent of America's wealth. Bush is continuing to widen the gap between rich and poor, weeding out the middle class. That's dangerous, and anyone who isn't concerned should read up on some of this stuff. I don't want Bush to get re-elected but the Democrats aren't getting their act together. I guess we always have Jon Stewert. That guy knows what's up. Or Two Drinks would be an outstanding candidate as well.

Here's to Two Drinks, the solution to all of life's problems.
